Skill development training is important as it allows individuals to gain skills that can enhance their employability and promote economic growth. Using these skills, individuals can, according to changing job markets, ultimately boost their confidence and resilience. skill development training is not limited to technical skills only. It also includes soft skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and leadership. These skills are equally important in the workplace and can significantly improve an individual’s work performance.

Skill Development Programs by Government

The Indian government runs several skill development schemes and programs aimed at enhancing the employability and skills of its citizens. Some prominent ones include:

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY): Launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), PMKVY aims to provide skill training to youth across India with the objective of boosting their employability and income.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) Schemes: NSDC implements various skill development initiatives in partnership with private sector organizations and training providers to address skill gaps in key sectors of the economy.

Skill India Mission: This initiative by the Government of India aims to train over 400 million people in various skills by 2022 through multiple schemes and programs under different ministries and departments.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY): This program focuses on rural youth, providing skill training and placement opportunities in various sectors to enable sustainable livelihoods.

Skill Development Initiative Scheme (SDIS): Under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, SDIS promotes skill training for traditional occupations and industries to enhance productivity and employability.

Startup India: While primarily focused on promoting entrepreneurship, Startup India also supports skill development through various programs aimed at nurturing innovative skills and business acumen.

These schemes and programs are designed to address the growing need for skilled manpower in India’s workforce across different sectors, thereby contributing to economic growth and development.

Through our vocational training, we provide opportunities to fulfill the requirements of women, rural as well as tribal students along with the underprivileged sections of society.

Cutting & Tailoring

SEETA RAM ENVIORNMENTALS TRUST’s  sewing course center in Tirupur, Tamil Nādu. Since its inception, over 100 women and girls from the community have enrolled in this life-changing program. They’ve not only mastered the art of needle and thread, but also gained the confidence and skills to become financially independent.

No longer bound by the limitations of their circumstances, these empowered women are stitching their own destinies. They’re earning a livelihood, supporting their families, and contributing to the local economy. Their vibrant creations, from intricate salwar kameez to stylish bags, are a testament to their talent and hard work.

Beautician Course

SEETA RAM ENVIORNMENTALS TRUST’s Free Beautician Course in Nasirabad! Join over 25 women and girls who’ve completed the course and earned their certification. This program isn’t just about learning hairdressing—it’s about gaining financial independence. Now, these empowered individuals confidently pursue opportunities in the beauty industry, thanks to the skills they’ve acquired.

Our course is designed for women of all ages and backgrounds, whether they dream of owning a salon or simply want to earn extra income. With flexible scheduling, our instructors teach everything from basic hairstyling to advanced techniques and business management skills.

Our Trust has a dream of raising the economic standard of people through effective vocational training. Not only this, but we also decrease the level of unemployment by offering self-employment schemes.
